Gone are the days of outside judgement. You don't know what a user looks like.
...shall I continue?
I conducted a high school student survey and found that 47% of teenagers confessed to having tried alcohol and drugs (53 surveyed). According to our youth, this is what people are using in the area, right now.
There should not be one drug in that list that makes you feel comfortable if your child is using. There should not be one drug in that list that makes you feel comfortable if your child knows someone who is using.
You may notice that some drugs are listed twice. If you did not recognize this, then start familiarizing yourself with the lingo. Your child may be talking about drugs right in front of your face without you even knowing. This is what lingo is supposed to do—keep the information secretive.
The drugs discussed on this site are from a true youth perspective. If this doesn't grab your attention, I don't know what will; because the number of deaths that continue to go on from the use of these drugs doesn't seem to be stirring many thoughts.
I want you to take a look at that list of drugs again and tell me this:
But above anything,
Why isn't our community doing everything possible to keep these drugs off the streets and keeping our youth safe? Am I mistaken? I don't believe “drug community” is what we intend to be going after.
